This series concentrates on exposing multiple layers of paint and color, thus enhancing 3-dimensional textures which reflect and intensify the natural play-of-color process. Similarly, the human mind is a complex and multifaceted thing. It is constantly shifting and changing, with new thoughts and ideas bubbling up to the surface. The opal's play-of-color is a metaphor for the way that our thoughts and emotions can change and evolve over time.
